ALAMINE OUSMANE MEY is a Cameroonian, born in 1966 in Kousseri, in the Far North Region of Cameroon. He is married and father of three. His primary, secondary and high school education in Garoua was sanctioned by the First School Leaving Certificate, GCE Ordinary and Advanced Levels in Sciences.
He further attended AACHEN’S Polytechnic University in Germany where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. He later obtained Certificates in SME and SMI Financing in developing countries in ANTWERP University in Belgium and was trained in Equity and Risk Capital Financing in Tunisia.

His professional career led him to CCEI BANK (now Afriland First Bank), where during 18 years he served in several posts of responsibility (Credit Analyst, Director of Research and Investment, Deputy General Manager) and General Manager from 2003 to 2011.
In December 2011, he joined the Government as Minister of Finance, position he held for seven (07) years. Since the 2nd of March 2018 he is acting as Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development.
He is fluent in several languages (French, English, German). He attended several national and international Seminars and Workshops, both as Speaker and Participant. He chaired different board meeting of distinguished companies and Non-Governmental Organisations.
